THE PROCESS OF THE SELECTION OF THE SUPPLIERS
Selecting the supplier becomes one of the most important strategies for any organization in order to reach the fixed goals.
The first certainty that every company should consider is that, though it could appear trivial , the capability that the supplier manages to give a product/service that satisfies the buying specifications; regarding this issue we list some elements that may be surely useful:
though it may be expensive, but the best way it is to visit directly the supplier, in order to have a real evaluation of its managing system of quality, if they do adapt it.
- suppliers that need to be seen for the degree of seriousness of the product that they make
- direct verification of the finished product
- direct verification since the product that is supplied is the first to be supplied or that the following seriousness of the product is for the customer necessary that the supllier is certified.
- engeneering/technical aspects, capability to develop projects and solutions in autonomy, technologies made for the available production, hardware and software technologies, and actual assistance service if available.
- obsolete data regarding the latest verification at the supplier and that need a proper verification for a new realization regarding the quality degree.
- supplier with whom one may develop a project in partnership, by considering as an important point the charges , the novelty of the product or of the technological project to be adapted in order to reach what has been agreed upon.
Another method that surely brings less charges is the indirect evaluation by the means of comparison lists, questionnaires, evaluation by supplied samples, historical evaluation since the supplier already provides products for the realization of other projects.
