SPECIAL PROCESSES
The increasing demand from the market increasingly demanding quality standards, requires companies to maintain the quality of its products tending to excellence.
To do this it is necessary for all stages of the production cycle are properly executed, monitored and controlled.
Some of these phases relate to specific activities such as, for example, the joining of materials which can take place by means of adhesives, by welding, by riveting or the surface finish, such as paint.
These specific steps are referred to as “special processes”, because you can not perform any background checks, if not at the end of this phase, using for the purpose dedicated tests, often destructive.
In order to monitor these “special processes” is absolutely necessary to make their “validation”, which, combined with appropriate expertise of the resources involved, which are also “qualified, allow the achievement of expected results and the reproducibility of the process itself.
The validation process takes place in several steps:
Definition of the process;
Analysis of the materials used in the process;
Intrinsic factors conditioning the results;
Limits the effectiveness of tests and inspections;
Analysis and consequences of faults;
Preparation of specific plans of qualification in accordance with procedures or regulations;
Definition of test methods to assess the effectiveness of the processes carried out;
Training and qualification of the resources used in the process;
Performing qualification tests at a public third party.
Shown below are some “special processes” for which it is advisable to qualification and validation according to special regulations standardized.
Bonding Process, qualifying in accordance with DIN 6701;
Process Welding qualification in accordance with UNI EN 15085;
Process of Riveting, qualified in accordance with specific contract;
Process Painting, qualified in accordance with Specifications or specific directive Qualicoat.
