The qualifications of the painting:

As mentioned above, the qualification of the coating must be inevitably and the same for the qualification of all operators involved in the whole process, this is made internally and externally.

The qualification of the staff is a set of activities defined in specific procedures or instructions through which affirms the ability to perform specific tasks.

Taking into account that the results of a coating system can be found only at the end of the process, we urge the use of “operators” qualified and able to contain costs and meet the requirements.

In the case in which the coating cycle is performed at installations of suppliers, the qualification of the operators should be ascertained, and in the absence, must be made.

They cite the following areas and how to qualify for processes “internal” and “external” ::

Area painting, operators subject to qualification:

Operators directly involved in the painting;

Theoretical training:

Notes on the type of paint products and application cycles (information of a chemical and technological);

Notes on application techniques and the main parameters to be controlled,

A detailed analysis of the coating including technical data and for the execution of the coating;

Self-monitoring of the production process;

Equipment (usage, control, etc.);

Security in the application of paint products.

Practical Training:

Application for each operator, the painting cycle expected, on some panels of the same type of material of those series.

Area control and testing:

Workers in the Process Control and Quality (internal or external);

Theoretical training:

Notes on the type of paint products and application cycles (information of a chemical and technological);

Notes on application techniques and the main parameters to be controlled,

A detailed analysis of the coating including technical data and for the execution of the coating;

Inspection and testing of relevance;

Suitable instruments and subject to periodic calibration.

Practical Training:

Running the tests laid down in the procedure qualification.

Visual inspection of the surface: (internal or specifications of the client);

Control film thickness: UNI EN ISO 2808 “Paints and varnishes – Determination of film thickness.”

Brightness: UNI EN ISO 2813 “Paints and varnishes – Determination of specular gloss of non-metallic paint films at 20 °, 60 ° and 85 °”

Color: UNI 8941 “colored surface. Colorimetry. Principles. ”

ISO 7724/3 “Paints and varnishes – Colorimetry – Part 3: Calculation of color differences”.

Membership: UNI EN ISO 2409 “Paints and varnishes – Cross-cut test”.

All registrations will be formalized on special forms, regularly updated in line with the qualification procedures and procedures is provided by the system UNI EN ISO 9001:2008.

For the purposes of the validity of the qualification, should be checked and confirmed the continuity of all the qualified operators involved in the painting process, as well as all the instrumentation used for this purpose.

The duration of qualifications usually three years and is left to the applicant company, except as provided in the preceding paragraph.
