SPECIAL PROCESSES – BONDING PROCESS – Chapter Three
Coordination of the bonding process.
In order to provide effective monitoring to ensure compliance with the requirements expressed by design and by applicable regulations (DIN 6701 or specifications of the client), you should define the topics, methods and methods for monitoring and controlling the entire process of bonding lead to the validation of the joint.
To this purpose, we cite below some necessary arguments to the coordination of the process:
Classification of the joint:
Placing the joint designed in one of the four classes defined by DIN 6701, LC1 to LC4;
Levels of control of the process;
Placing the joint designed in one of four levels of control defined by DIN 6701, consistent with its classification;
Qualification of coordination;
The DIN 6701 provides two levels of qualification for staff coordination:
Grade 1 qualification in accordance with the provisions of the guidelines EWF 517-01, with at least three years in the field;
Grade 2 qualification in accordance with the provisions of the guidelines EWF 516-01, with at least three years in the field;
Qualification of bonding;
In accordance to the specific activity in the manner prescribed by the UNI EN ISO 9001.
Qualification of NDT personnel CND;
In accordance to the specific activity in the manner prescribed by the UNI EN 473.
Planning and control of production;
Activity through the establishment of a PFC (piano manufacturing and control), inclusive of all work steps and control.
The PFC will have to give evidence:
Of any further processes concerned, such as the procurement of materials, adhesives, equipment;
Tests carried out and their recording;
Of equipment to be used, which shall be consistent with the needs of production and characteristics of the weld joint;
The appropriate work instructions / control, which must bear the type of materials, surface treatments provided, the environmental conditions of application, the mode of application, the conditions of drying and control.
Of staff skills, qualifications, skills and training;
Inspections / tests carried out, citing the instrumentation used, any procedures in place, any equipment, as well as special tests;
Qualification of the bonded joint, activities dedicated to the verification of the achievement of the requirements by testing specially crafted and recorded on the appropriate tests and testing plan, to be implemented at a public third party, in accordance with specifications or regulations.
The coordination planning of a process must not only chronologically ordered a series of activities, but to identify and handle all of the path variables on which it is necessary to include a targeted monitoring to reduce possible interactions on the achievement of the final requirement.
